Welcome Hayes Oscar Robison!!

On August 18, 2021 Max and I welcomed our second baby boy to the family, Hayes Oscar Robison. He weighed in at 8 lbs 5 oz and was 21.5 inches long! He is doing so well and big brother loves him so much. Little Max is very protective of “his baby Hayes.”

Here is the shortened version of his birth story!

I was scheduled for an induction on August 18th. I had weeks and weeks of false labor and was more than ready for him to arrive! Hayes had his own plans and decided to surprise us by putting me in labor the night of the 17th. Thankfully Amma was at our house, so I got a delicious meal and a shower before we headed in to the hospital while Amma stayed home with Max Odell.

I wasn’t too far along when we got to the hospital. Similar to my labor with Max, things tend to move fairly slow for me unfortunately, so I labored all through the night and the morning. Hayes Oscar made his arrival at 1:17 pm!

The gender was a surprise, but I had an underlying feeling that it was another boy. Max and I are overjoyed with two healthy little boys, and we can’t wait to watch them grow up together on the ranch. Max Odell already talks about teaching Hayes how to ride his horse, and he is constantly bringing Hayes toy trucks, cows, and bales so he can learn how to feed the cows and load them on the trailer!

Life at home has definitely been an adjustment for us all. Max is learning to share the attention of Mom and Dad. Thankfully Hayes is such an easy baby and had been hearing his loud brother for the last nine months, so he is used to the extra noise and sleeps through it all! I am enjoying my maternity leave and getting to spend extra time snuggling my boys. We enjoy going on walks, taking naps together, and now we are preparing for fall cow work!

As difficult as it may be at times, I couldn’t be more thankful for our life!
